Overview

The Oberoi Motor Vessel Vrinda is an exclusive backwater vessel in Vembanad Lake surrounded by beautiful thick green forest. Vrinda Jetty is about 45 km from Cochin, the principal port of Malabar Coast. By air guests can drop at Cochin airport which is one and a half hour drive away from Vrinda Jetty. Nearest railway station is at Ernakulam about 10 km away. Also regular boat service is available from Alleppey and Kottayam.

Guests can book any of the two packages of two night or three night journey on the Vessel to float around in God’s own country. Entire Vessel can be booked for special events and occasions.Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary is also located by the side of the lake.

This backwater Vessel hosts eight elegantly designed Deluxe Cabins. The spacious cabin has a king size bed, soft mattresses, 2 comfortable chairs, window side table, electronic safe, stool and local artwork wall paintings. The cabins are timber floored and display the same wood color theme throughout. Your booking a Deluxe cabin includes – pick and drop facility from Cochin airport to the Vembanad Lake jetty, every day breakfast, lunch and dinner on board, local sightseeing excursion, and local cultural events for evening entertainment.Switch on to color television with DVD player for entertainment or grab the chairs by the picture windows to view the mesmerizing view of lake and dense forest. Your private bathroom has shower and other essential bathroom toiletries. As per government rules, smoking is prohibited anywhere in the Vessel.

The signature dishes to try for lunch and dinner here are – Malabar Fish Curry, Masala Prawns, Meen Moily and Espresso Cheese Mouse. Floating on waters is the unique ambiance of the deck made with the use of wood walls and wicker chairs. You can choose to sit by the windows or by open-sided area. Breakfast is made special with freshly brewed Coffee or traditional Cardamom tea along with light snack seafood like small red prawns or freshwater Pearlspot.At evening, try their bar for notable international wines and spirits.
