Buddhist Circuit Tourist Train

The Buddhist Circuit Tourist Train, a special tourist train launched by Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Limited, is a comfortable, safe and hassle free tour on the Buddhist Circuit covering important places connected with the life of Gautama Buddha.

The package includes train journey, hotel accommodation at selected destinations. road transportation in 2x2 AC Busses. Tour Guide, all meals and monument entry fee. The train was awarded National Tourism Award by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India in 2009.


DAY:1

SATURDAY

Proceed from Delhi (Delhi Safdarjung Railway Station in the afternoon) for Gaya. Dinner on board.

DAY:2

Breakfast on board. Arrive Gaya in the morning and proceed for Bodhgaya. Check in at the hotel.After Lunch, sightseeing of Bodhgaya. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel

DAY:3

monday

Breakfast at hotel. Proceed from Bodhgaya to Rajgir for sightseeing. Lunch at a hotel in Rajgir and proceed to Nalanda for sightseeing. After sightseeing, proceed to Gaya Railway Station. Dinner on board. Proceed for Varanasi.

DAY:4

Tuesday

Breakfast on board. Arrive Varanasi and proceed for Sarnath sightseeing. Check in at the hotel for Lunch and wash and change. Later proceed for Boat ride on the holy Ganges and Evening Aarti ceremony. Dinner at a hotel and return to Train. Proceed for Lumbini (Nautanwa).

DAY:5

Wednesday

Arrive Nautanwa, breakfast on board. Proceed for Lumbini (Nepal). Check in at hotel. After Lunch,sightseeing of Mayadevi Temple. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

DAY:6

Thursday

Breakfast at hotel. Proceed to Kushinagar. After Lunch, sightseeing of Kushinagar. Return to Train.Dinner on board and proceed for Balrampur (Sravasti).

DAY:7

Friday

Arrive Balrampur. Proceed for Sravasti. Check in at the hotel for breakfast, wash and change and Lunch. After sightseeing of Sravasti return back to Train. Dinner on board and proceed for Agra.

DAY:8

Saturday

Breakfast on board. Arrive Agra and proceed for sightseeing of Taj Mahal. Lunch proceed for Delhi. Arrive Delhi (Delhi Safdarjung Railway Station) in the evening.

  • USD 150 or INR 12,600 for confirmed 2 berth cabin in ACI class of Full/Partial Tour.
  • USD 200 or INR 16,800 for single occupancy in hotel for entire tour (applicable for AC I and II). Or USD 50 or INR 4200 per stay/fresh up in hotel
  • USD 669 or INR 56,196 (full/partial journey) would be applicable for confirmed allocation of one lower berth only in a 2 seater first class cabin
  • Upper berth would not be allocated to other passenger. USD 669 or INR 56,196 (full partial journey) would be applicable for confirmed allocation of two lower berths in a 4 seater first class cabin.Two upper berths would not be allocated to other passengers
  • All Rates are on per person per journey on twin sharing basis. In case of single occupancy, supplement charges shall be payable.
